Mornin' girls! I hope you are all excited that today is Friday, and I hope you all have a great day!

I have some thoughts today, that I learned from Austin!

Ok, some of you may have heard me speak of (ok, complain) about how hard it is to get her up and moving in the morning. I even hate to admit that I said she might not be a good mother because she couldn't multi-task. (Ok, before you stone me here, I'm talking about - talking and getting dressed at the same time, listening and putting on her shoes at the same time. I didn't think I was asking too much.

Ok, once again, we had trouble getting ready this morning, but every time I was telling her to do something, she stopped what she was doing to listen and look at me. What kind of world are we living in that stopping and listening has to be done while doing something else? We first teach them that they have to listen, then we teach them they have to be doing something while listening, what's next? What would Jesus do? Do you think he would be brushing his teeth while I talked to him, or getting dressed? Or, would he stop and look and listen? We say we had rather have a slower pace, where we really connect. But what are we relaying to our kids? I know what I've done. And I stand convicted. Today, Let's stop, look and listen.
