God is busy!!

Mornin' Girls!! Hope you're off to a great day! (Let's just say I'm off. LOL!!)

How do I know God is busy? I keep him that way. I pride myself in saying I'm not a "high-maintenance wife" but I'm pretty "high-maintenance" for God!
I'm reminded of the verse that says something like, He that has started a work in you will continue it until the day of Christ Jesus. (THAT IS SOOOO ANGIEPHRASED! Not a direct quote from any known translation) I just bet God may be regretting saying that. You think?

I was thinking about what to post this morning, as I fixed my coffee. I thought I'd maybe post about how I so failed in the patience category (I took the kids shoes, clothes, and grocery shopping yesterday -- And, gotta tell ya, I said "Jackson, do you want to go to K-Mart?" He said, "No, I want to go to Wal-Mart." Ha Ha! I do have to say it went really well, but we all got tired, and by 7:00 last night, I was soooo ready to send them to bed!!!!!).

Then, I read one of my devotionals. Check this out.

"We humans are strange - saying one thing yet doing another. As we seek to teach our children moral vales, we hope they will agree that evil has no place in our homes, hearts, or minds. All the while, they are watching to see what makes us happy. Our children learn from us what gives us pleasure.
So what do our children see us delight in? What makes us smile? Are we more excited about the dream vacation than the worship service? Do we tell our little ones to hush their enthusiastic questions so we won't miss the marriage proposal on our favorite sitcom? Have we rushed our children to bed, hurried through a story and mumbled a thoughtless night-night prayer so we can return to our romance novel? Are we excited when we have a hot piece of gossip to convey over the telephone?"

OH, HOLY COW!!!! I've fussed at my kids for interrupting me from reading the Bible! I got aggravated last night (all I wanted was a little peace) when I was interrupted from watching a religious show!

Now, do you see, how busy I keep God?

I sure am glad he doesn't strike people down with lightning anymore (does he?). I'm pretty sure I need a good slap on the back of the head!

Thank you, Lord, for continuing your work in me. You were very smart to say until the day Jesus comes, because we all know it will take that long!!

Love you gals! I'm not cleaning house too much today. (I do have to wash clothes or Donnie will be going to work naked tomorrow!) Today, I'm spending with my kiddos, that I'm so thankful God blessed me with!
