What's up Wednesday

Mornin' Gals!! I have to first say how truly blessed I was by last night's ladies Bible study. Not only was the food and fellowship great, but Vickie's house made me feel like I was at a retreat in the mountains. Wow, what an awesome time!!

I'd like to share our prayer request list:

Tina's Mom is having surgery Friday morning
Andrew Scalf diagnosis of Alzheimers
Merle Scalf test results
Vickie & Jim & her mother in law Dorothy (Jim is caring for her for a few days)
Karol's brother, recent stroke
Puppet ministry
Halloween outreach
Carmen's son, Ryan Davis, in Iraq, and his fellow soldiers
Doris' son, Matt Davenport, in Tokyo, (a typhoon expected to hit Thursday)
Donna, fibromyalgia
Billy's co-worker, Buzzy, recent stroke

I have a book Jeanie gave me back (and thought it was mine, but it wasn't), but that's ok, because I've really enjoyed reading it. (Maybe she knew it wasn't mine, but knew I needed it?)
It is "Finding God's Path Through Your Trials" by Elizabeth George. I love her Bible studies, and I'm really enjoying this book. (If this book is yours, and you loaned it to Jeanie, I will return it to her in the next couple of weeks. Ha Ha)

Ok, no matter how many times I read James 1:2 , it never sunk in until this morning.

"Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials." James 1:2 NASB

Not, until speaking of trials and suffering, she sent me to 2 Timothy 2:3,4:

"Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. To please the recruiter, no one serving as a soldier gets entangled in the concerns of everyday life." HCSB

Wow. Just think about that. It amazed me. Let the words pour over you. We are commanded to share in suffering as a good soldier of Jesus. Not maybe, not sometimes. It's a command. Also, to please the recruiter don't get overly concerned about everyday things. Ok. This spoke to me this morning. I hope it spoke to you!!

Love ya'll! Have a great day!!

OK, and P.S. I have to apologize for talking so much last night. I just love you all and love being around you, and sometimes I get overly excited!!

The ladies bible study was awesome, and required all of us to take a deeper look at what we are doing for Christ and why! Some of us are sure of our calling, some of us are praying about our calling, and some of us are basking in Gods love and soaking up the goodness while we wait for Gods calling. I love it. Lets list one another up everyday :)
