Mornin' girls! I will be worshiping the Lord today at home with Jackson (he's sick). Donnie and Austin are planning on coming this morning, and then we'll swap places, and I'm coming for the business meeting tonight. I hope ya'll have a wonderful service this morning, and hope ya'll see the Lord move there. I'm thankful that the Lord is everywhere and I can worship him at home, while ya'll worship him at Church. Amen!
I read a few words this morning I'd like to share about worship. I hope they touch you like they did me.
"The act of worship brings us to a starting point with God like nothing else can. There is an amazing power in worship that frees our hearts to receive God's unexplainable joy, which the world cannot take away, and His peace, which passes understanding. Worship comes from a heart perspective that sees God as greater than our problems and feelings. This perspective allows us to face life, walking by faith and not by sight. "Break through to worship" is the breakthrough that allows us to say, "It is well with my soul," even when all is not well with our circumstances. A breakthrough to worship is when we allow God to proceed. It's when we say, "God, I have nothing to bring but my decision to worship You. I choose. I let. God, bring that breakthrough that sets my spirit free to worship You."
What is the "one thing" needed? The answer is found in Psalm 27:4. Jesus was probably alluding to this passage by the words He chose to speak to Martha: "One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in His temple."
Do you see how powerful that passage is ? It gives us the solution to every breakthrough we need. The answer is worship - always worship. No matter what our breakthrough blockers are- doubt, fear, pain, guilt- when we always see the Lord, life falls into place."
May you worship Him in spirit and truth today. Love ya'll!!
