Good mornin' Ladies!! Hope you are off to a good one, I know I am!! I am SOOOOOOO excited. I just got the cake recipe from the lady that used to make the birthday cakes for my kids (she stopped making them) So, for the first time ever, I will be attempting to make a professional-like cake for Austin for her birthday!! I'm so excited, and she is too, I just hope it works! He He!! We, as I'm sure all of you do too, have a very busy next few days lined up. Saturday we are taking Austin and some her friends out to eat and to a movie for her birthday (instead of a party this year!! Woo Hoo!!) DON'T FORGET TO BRING FOOD FOR SUNDAY!! We're having our dinner after church! Monday is the Secret Pals party!! Tuesday is Austin's birthday!! Wednesday will be our last play practice. Sunday is the cantata for the am worship. Sunday pm worship will be the play, then the puppets "production" then desserts afterward. Woo! Get dizzy just thinking about it!
Love ya'll! Please pray for my Grandaddy. He's in the hospital in Louisville with pneumonia. Daddy is up there with him. Thanks guys!
The True Meaning Of Christmas
by Brian K. Walters
In todays' day and time,
it's easy to lose sight,
of the true meaning of Christmas
and one special night.
When we go shopping,
We say "How much will it cost?"
Then the true meaning of Christmas,
Somehow becomes lost.
Amidst the tinsel, glitter
And ribbons of gold,
We forget about the child,
born on a night so cold.
The children look for Santa
In his big, red sleigh
Never thinking of the child
Whose bed was made of hay.
In reality,
When we look into the night sky,
We don't see a sleigh
But a star, burning bright and high.
A faithful reminder,
Of that night so long ago,
And of the child we call Jesus,
Whose love, the world would know.
