Mornin' Ladies! Did my title get your attention? Death is something I've been thinking a lot about since yesterday evening when I got a phone call. It was from my Daddy telling me that a classmate of mine had 2 weeks to live. 2 weeks! She's the same age as me, I played basketball with her. I don't think I've seen her since we graduated (I'm not gonna say how long ago that was!) She has 2 small children. She could be me! If I had 2 weeks to live, there's some things that I'd want to get done. Some things that you may not even think about, some you may. I'd like for my house to be clean, so my legacy wouldn't be a dirty house. I'd want to write letters for my loved ones, maybe even do a video tape for them. I'd like to plan my funeral (to make it easier on my loved ones). I'd like to make sure legal things were taken care of (wills, etc.) Then, what? Well, I'd like to make the last moments I had with friends and loved ones count. Make sure they know how I feel about them. What would I want from a friend I haven't seen in years? Maybe nothing. Maybe a lot.
Live like you're dying. Tell people today. Don't wait until tomorrow, it may never come. Don't hesitate to reach out to a dying or sick friend.
I gotta see what I can do, or better yet, what God would like to do through me. Love ya'll!
