Mornin' Girls!! I came to a realization yesterday (with the help of a very loving and honest friend and mentor) that everything is not as it seems. Um, even trials. I posted yesterday about trials, but I found out that sometimes our trials aren't even trials. OK, this may seem way out there, but stick with me on this. Sometimes we let our feelings get in the way of how we perceive things. Sometimes what we think will make us come crashing down (even for just a few hours, or days) wasn't even meant how we thought it was. As my good friend said to me "you have to step back, and ask yourself, "what were their intentions? Did they do it just to hurt me?" " If the answer to the latter is no, you have to take a step back in how you react to it. Thanks my friend, for the lesson in life.
I found myself yesterday, asking myself "Why is it so hard? The Christian life? " I know we are going to have trials, I never expected it to be easy. But, I never expected it to be this hard, either, honestly. I read things in the Bible and get condemned!! Then, I have to change the way I think or act about what I've been condemned about. Is the Christian walk life changing??? You bet, EVERY MINUTE OF IT!! Amen?
I want to leave you today with a few scriptures.
"Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it. How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it." Matthew 7:13,14
"Not everyone who says to Me 'Lord, Lord!' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in heaven." Matthew 7:21
I'LL GLADLY TAKE THE DIFFICULT, NARROW ROAD, LONGING AND STRIVING TO DO THE WILL OF OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN!
Love ya'll!!
